Alexisonfire, City and Colour and Dallas Green

With a letter from George on the main page of Alexisonfire's website, the news is out: after 10 years, the Canadian post-hardcore band, Alexisonfire, is splitting up.

It's sad that the band is breaking up something that has been so good for so long, but after reading an interview with Dallas Green on Spinner.ca, it's hard to imagine how Dallas was able to juggle City and Colour and Alexisonfire. I'm glad Dallas is looking out for his own health rather than continuing to push himself beyond his limits. It would have been nice if the fans could have known that Alexisonfire would be splitting up before their tour ended but either way, we should be thankful that Alexisonfire has left us with 4 studio albums and won't try to continue the band with replaced members.

Keep an ear out for music from UK punk band, Gallows, the new band Wade will be joining as a lead vocalist, Dallas's City and Colour, and hopefully new music from Jordan, Christopher and George as well.
